Living Healthy or Healthy Living?

Hello everyone! So update on my "healthiness" haha if you want to call it that. I've been doing Biggest Loser challenge on the Wii every morning and go on a jog with my puppy every night (sometimes Daniel comes, sometimes he just wants to be lazy... ;) haha) and I've been eating so much healthier!! And I've been doing this for about almost a month now and guess how much I have lost... 3 whoppin pounds!! I posted my status that I lost 3 pounds on August 2nd and still haven't lost any 13 days later Ugh, it's making me very annoyed and impatient. haha but Daniel says that it's because I'm gaining muscle so I'll just keep working at it! But sometimes I just really want a freaking cheeseburger and fries! Why can't those be healthy? Seriously. haha :)

  2. So, a couple things:
Good job on beginning. You never get anywhere if you don't begin.
Secondly, good job on being consistent. You'll never see results if you fade in and out or quit altogether. For example, it's surprising, at the gym we've found that it doesn't matter who a person is or what it seems they're capable of. Some people who seem like they have tons of potential drop out after a while, while others who may be more out of shape, over-weight, have never done a push-up in their life, and who make you wonder if they'll even be able to make it actually stick with it. They're there at least 3x a week, week after week after week. Guess who sees results! It's cool.
Now, there are more particulars to help speed up the process of becoming fit, but the foundation is consistency and effort. Do it regularly and to the best of your ability. That goes for exercising and eating nutritious food.
And Daniel's right about the gaining muscle thing. I would suggest staying off the scale for a few months. I'm not kidding. When you begin exercising and eating better, you typically lose fat and gain muscle. So, as you can guess, the scale wouldn't be an accurate gauge of progress. Instead, pay attention to how your clothes are fitting. Your body shape will be shifting so this can help you see some of how and where your body is changing. And just pay attention to how you feel and listen to the Spirit. They can tell you what you need. Then, after a few months, if things have been improving, go ahead and check the scale. But honestly, the scale isn't nearly as important as intense regular exercise and healthy eating.
Feel free to ask me questions. I'm happy to share what I've learned and experienced and seen in others.
    Keep it up! You're awesome.
